NEEDS AND HEALTH

Needs give Lagos Life a quiet clock. Read the decay values beside the health records, choose a response that fits the route, and avoid spending the whole day repairing one neglected measure. A practical plan keeps work, movement and people possible at the same time.

01
Read decay as a planning signal
A need that changes slowly can wait for a convenient stop; a need that changes quickly deserves a place in the route. Use the decay column as a reminder to plan, not as a reason to panic. When you know a shift will take time, make the useful action before you leave or choose a destination that supports it afterward.
Needs are connected to the rest of the atlas. A home can be a reliable reset point, a city place can turn a necessary action into a social moment, and transport can decide whether the response is affordable. Look for actions that solve one problem without creating a new travel or money problem.
02
Keep health choices proportionate
The health records distinguish a mild problem from a serious one. That distinction helps a player choose a response with the right urgency. Do not let a small warning erase a work or social plan that could continue safely; do not ignore a serious record because the balance looks fine. Read the state of the character, then choose the next action that restores room to move.
A strong routine has a little slack. Leave enough time and cash for an unplanned response, especially when your day crosses several areas. That margin is not wasted capacity. It is what lets the game remain playful when a need changes the route you expected.
03
Make care part of the story
Needs and health do more than measure efficiency. They make a day feel embodied. A meal can follow a shift, rest can change the pace of an evening, and a social plan can become the reason you travel to a familiar place. Use the records to notice those connections rather than treating every value as a number to clear as quickly as possible.
When a routine keeps the character comfortable, jobs become easier to compare, a home can be chosen for future use, and a new area no longer turns every decision into an emergency.
